Since Brexit, HGV drivers have been able to use their identity card to travel to the UK. However, from 1 October 2021, HGV drivers will need to show passports to clear customs.  We estimate that only 10% of EU HGV drivers hold a valid passport so massive issues are predicted.  Read more about visiting the UK as an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen on the Government Website here.
